90 Events for 90th Anniversary

This year marks the United Way California Capitol Regions 90th year anniversary! Their goal is to complete 90 community service projects by the end of the year.

This year the AFL-CIO and United Way are participating in an unprecedented number of volunteer projects (90!). This effort is being led by Greg Larkins, our Community Services Director.

Some recent volunteer events have included the Letter Carriers Canned Food Drive, IBEW 1245 Charity Bowl, "When the Paycheck Stops" workshops, and United Way Toilet Paper Drive.

However, the fun doesn't stop there! Attached here are more ways for you and your union to get involved in community service activities. If something sparks your interest, contact Greg at glarkins@sacramentolabor.org and he will set up the entire function for you (how easy is that?!).

If you can't find the perfect project or would like to learn more about current community service activities make sure to attend the Community Service Meetings held after the Delegates Meeting every month. To find the location, date and RSVP to the Community Service Meeting click here.
