Pilgrimage for Immigration Reform

Join us for the kick-off rally for the pilgrimage for immigration reform.

On August 11th PICO and Sacramento ACT, faith based organizations, are hosting the kick-off rally.

This rally is for the 11 pilgrims, symbolizing the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S., who will walk from Sacramento to Bakersfield in support of comprehensive immigration reform.

This trip will start on August 11 and end on Labor Day, September 2. These pilgrims will be walking approximately 15 miles per day to reach their destination on time.

They will stop in cities along their path to participate in events with local Congressional members to draw attention to the walk and struggle for immigration reform.

The final action will be in Bakersfield to put pressure on Rep. Kevin McCarthy to support comprehensive immigration reform and a pathway to citizenship.
